Based on feedback from our clients and partner companies, we are pleased to announce exciting changes to our SmartDocs pricing structure and service offerings.
First, effective immediately, SmartDocs is now licensed on a subscription basis. You pay a low monthly per-user subscription fee which includes full access to SmartDocs, web based product support, and free access to all SmartDocs products upgrades. You pay for what you use and only for as long as you use it.
In addition to subscription based licensing, we are now also offering secure "cloud based" SmartDocs repository hosting. No longer are you required to have a SharePoint infrastructure and expertise within your organization. Instead, you can outsource the hosting of your SmartDocs repository to ThirtySix Software. Like our SmartDocs subscription offering, our SmartDocs hosting service is available for a low monthly per-user fee.
These new offerings allow you to get up-and-running with SmartDocs more quickly and at a greatly reduced cost. You can find more details about these new offerings (including pricing information) on our SmartDocs Licensing and Pricing page. If you have any questions or comments regarding these changes please don't hesitate to contact us.

Gad Epstein, Industry Market Development Manager at Microsoft, has posted a great video on his blog on how SharePoint can be used in conjunction with SmartDocs to publish new documents from existing content fragments (what we call "snippets" in SmartDocs).
In the short video below, content fragments are managed within SharePoint, allowing us to assemble content that is relevant to a specific role and by a content segment. Then, using the ThirtySix Software SmartDocs solution, a user can easily find relevant content and assemble a document. Since SmartDocs is using SharePoint as a fragment (snippet) repository, the SharePoint content management features can be respected within SmartDocs.
We encourage you to head on over to Gad's blog and check it out. The video is under four minutes, and gives you a quick sneek peak as to how you can use SmartDocs to search for already authored and approved content directly from Microsoft Word, and then drag-and-drop that content into your Word document.

We are pleased to announce that we will be in attendance at two conferences in the weeks and months ahead.
We will be exhibiting at the 21st Annual DIA EuroMeeting, which takes place in Berlin, Germany on March 23rd to 25th (we will be in Hall 15, Booth #15104). This conference will give us the opportunity to show how content reuse can be used in the life sciences space to enhance the productivity of technical/medical writers and improve the quality of your documentation.
DIA's Annual EuroMeeting is the largest event of its kind in Europe, attracting more than 3000 professionals from over 50 countries. It brings together professionals from the biopharmaceutical industry, contract service organizations, academic research centers, regulatory agencies, health ministries, patient organizations, and trade associations.
In addition, we will be speaking and exhibiting at the Gilbane Conference in San Francisco on June 3rd and 4th. Jascha Minow, who heads up our Business Development efforts, will be co-presenting the session on Structured Content and Managing Reuse.
Gilbane San Francisco is a great opportunity for anyone interested in content management to learn about the latest tools, technologies, and best practices being used today. If your job involves creating, managing, capturing, sharing, integrating, analyzing, or delivering enterprise content, then the Gilbane Conference is designed for you.
We hope you can join us at one of the above conferences. If you're in attendance, please be sure to let us know and drop by our booth.
